CASA Training

The comprehensive training to become a CASA volunteer was professionally developed by the National CASA Association in consultation with child abuse and neglect professionals, juvenile court attorneys and judges, CASA staff, and CASA volunteers from all over the country.  Using this standard curriculum, our goal during CASA training is to ensure that volunteers receive the tools they need to be the best possible advocate for the children they will serve while providing a positive and stimulating experience.  We realize you are taking time from your regular lives and families and we try our best to ensure that the time you are giving us is being spent well.  CASA training hours are scheduled at times that are convenient for most working people.

In order to begin the application process to become a CASA volunteer in one of the Metro Atlanta CASA collaborative's counties, please complete the Volunteer Inquiry Form.  Orientations will be scheduled throughout the year in the Metro Atlanta area. The orientation will give you an overview of what to expect during CASA training with one of the Metro Atlanta CASA programs. Please contact the program you wish to volunteer with for orientation and training schedules. You must also have a personal interview before you can be accepted into training.

The next scheduled Metro Training will be held in October 2010. Orientation dates for September 2010 have been posted. If you are interested in applying, please fill out the volunteer inquiry form and sign-up for an orientation session.
